Frequently Asked Questions

Common Questions

What should I expect during my first therapy session?
Your first session is a chance to share what brings you in and learn how therapy works. We’ll ask about your history, concerns, and goals, then outline a path forward that feels manageable and clear. There is no pressure to share more than you’re ready to.
Do you accept insurance?
Yes, we accept most major insurance providers including Aetna, BCBS, BCN, Cigna, Medicaid, Medicare, Optum, Priority Health, Tricare, UMR, and UnitedHealthcare. If you’re unsure about your coverage, contact us and we’ll help verify your benefits.
How long does therapy typically take?
It depends on your goals and what you’re working through. Some people find relief in a few sessions, while others prefer longer-term support. We check in regularly about progress so you can decide together what feels right.
Do you offer virtual/telehealth sessions?
Yes. We offer both in-person sessions at our Wyoming office and secure telehealth sessions for clients across Michigan. Virtual sessions are a flexible option for busy schedules or anyone who prefers to meet from home.
What issues do you help with?
We help with anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, ADHD, addiction and recovery, relationships, life transitions, grief, men’s and women’s issues, and first responder mental health. We also offer faith-informed care and therapy in Spanish.
