Fees, insurance & sliding scale
Cost should be clear before you sit down, not a surprise afterward. Here is how payment works at Parkview Counseling.
Using insurance
We are in network with Blue Cross Blue Shield, Blue Care Network, Priority Health, Optum / UnitedHealthcare, Aetna, Medicaid and Medicare. Your cost is set by your plan — typically a copay, coinsurance, or your remaining deductible. We verify your benefits before your first session and tell you what to expect.
Paying without insurance
Self-pay clients are welcome, and many people choose it for privacy or flexibility. You will always be quoted your exact rate before you schedule, and it does not change without a conversation first.
Sliding fee scale
A sliding fee scale is available based on income and household size, so cost is not the reason someone goes without care. Just ask when you reach out — no lengthy application, and nothing awkward about it.
Cancellations
Life happens. We ask for 24 hours notice when you need to move or cancel a session so the time can be offered to someone else.
Not using insurance? You are also entitled to a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges before you begin.
